The 48th Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF48) will showcase a series of films from April 3 to April 13 at Playhouse Square located in the heart of downtown Cleveland.

The festival will be held in-person, presenting a variety of films from around the world during its 11-day run. According to Cleveland.com, CIFF48 is set to introduce 137 features and 225 shorts from 60 different countries.

Through post-film Q&As, panel discussions and additional events, CIFF offers opportunities to engage both the audience and filmmakers. Playhouse Square has also included interactive exhibits, all while hosting the festival’s screenings.

In celebration of the solar eclipse on April 8, CIFF48 has partnered with Great Lakes Science Center to present special film screenings and panel discussions as part of their Total Eclipse Fest. The events are free and open to the public, taking place from April 6 to April 8. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis.

In addition to the in person screenings, CIFF48 Streams will also present films online from April 14 to 21.

The Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) was founded in 1977 with a mission to inform and entertain in an inclusive environment while spotlighting the power of the film arts. According to their website, CIFF is an Academy® qualifying festival, and one of few festivals that meets the requirements for live action, animated, and documentary—all three categories of short films.

The Cleveland International Film Festival has included a Film Guide to provide the audience with details and information about each screening.

The schedule for the events can be accessed on the CIFF website, along with events and ticket information.
