
Cleveland State University is holding a variety of events throughout the month of April for National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.
April 6
The Mareyjoyce Green Women’s Center will share anonymous sexual assault survivor stories from campus community members in the Student Center Atrium from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise sexual assault awareness. Emotional support and on and off campus resources will provide information about working together to address and heal from sexual assault.
April 10
The Student Government Association is hosting an event featuring Laura Cowan from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Student Center Ballrooms. Laura Cowan is a CSU alumnus, educator, activist, award-winning speaker and mom of three. She will share her story of escaping abuse, polygamy and domestic violence with her three children. Online registration is required for the event.
April 11
Color Your Cookie Teal is an opportunity for students to discuss healthy and unhealthy relationships with peers, including how to support one another. The event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Student Center 313-315.
April 21
Courageous Conversations: Moving Towards a Healthier Us is part of the virtual CSU Courageous Conversations series. The virtual discussion will cover relationship development, impacts of sexual and intimate partner violence and effective interventions to move society forward. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. and registration is required.
